Are Trebbih’s Teeth Whitening Home Kits safe?
Yes, absolutely! Our gels are pH balanced, compatible with tooth enamel and contain glycerine and water to help prevent tooth dehydration. A cosmetic notification form was submitted to Health Canada to ensure that all requirements were satisfied. According to Health Canada “home tooth whitening kits have become very popular with consumers who are hoping to enhance their appearance. When used correctly, they can produce noticeable results.” For a full review, you can visit Health Canada’s website at: http://www.hc-sc.gc.ca/hl-vs/iyh-vsv/life-vie/teeth-dents-eng.php
Will this process hurt my tooth enamel?
Our premium teeth whitening gel simply oxidizes the discolouring pigments found in natural teeth to remove stains caused by eating, drinking, smoking, etc. Years of intrinsic staining and discoloration can be reversed comfortably and quickly without harming any existing dental work. Our whitening gel is also food-grade and therefore not harmful even if swallowed.
Will I have a lot of pain and sensitivity?
A key ingredient in Trebbih’s gel is Potassium Nitrate which has been proven to virtually eliminate teeth sensitivity and tissue irritation. We also use a water based gel which hydrates the teeth during the whitening process.
How white will my teeth get?
The only honest answer to this question is that everyone’s teeth are different so no two results will be identical. This really depends on a multitude of factors including how stained the teeth were before whitening, what kind of staining agent caused most of the discoloration and how well your enamel reacts to peroxide. Based on past results however, our clients have seen an improvement of 2-8 shades whiter.
How many treatments are required before I begin to see results?
If you have ever whitened your teeth, you may have seen some results after one treatment, but this is mostly just the “pores” of the teeth opening up. The whitening agent takes time to travel through the enamel of your teeth, which over the years has worn down becoming more transparent and permitting the natural yellow color of dentin – the tooth’s core material – to show through. The “dentin” is what you really want to whiten. When you do only one whitening treatment you are really just whitening the enamel and not the dentin. Therefore, we recommend 2 treatments to achieve the best teeth whitening results and we include detailed application instructions in each teeth whitening home kit.
How long will the results last?
Results last up to one year, but this of course depends on your habits.
Can all teeth be whitened?
Trebbih’s Teeth Whitening Home Kits will only whiten natural teeth. While our gels will have no negative effect on caps, veneers, crowns, fillings or dentures, these materials will not whiten in any type of whitening procedure because they are not porous. In other words, the whitening gel will not be able to work their way through the tooth to break the stains apart. Having said this, our gels are effective in removing surface stains from artificial teeth.
